50 for 50: Jayne Gaskins Happy Hour Reception

As part of our 50 for 50 series, Touchstone is featuring a weeklong spotlight exhibition by Jayne Gaskins. Other late fall exhibitions will also be on view. Gaskins’s practice is deeply personal and intimate. Her compositions feature hard edges and intense colors that mirror the strength and complexity of human feelings. She welcomes viewers to bring their own perspectives to her work, recognizing that emotional responses are inherently individual. For Gaskins, a work is successful if it inspires viewers to embark on their own introspective journeys, just as creating the work has led her through one of her own.
