NOBEL LAUREATE LECH WAŁĘSA: Defending Polish Solidarity with Ukraine

Mon, Nov 9 · 1:00 PM Elliott School of International Affairs · Foggy Bottom

On the 37th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, please join us for a conversation with Lech Wałęsa, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former President of Poland, on one of today's most important democratic struggles: Ukraine's effort to defeat authoritarian Russia's full-scale invasion. Drawing on his recent advocacy efforts in Poland, Wałęsa will share his perspective on current challenges in Polish-Ukrainian relations, the ongoing war, and how Poland and the West more generally can best support Ukraine. His remarks will be followed by a moderated discussion and an audience Q&A.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
