Fall Colors Nature Walk

Sun, Oct 25 · 2:00 PM Francis A. Gregory Neighborhood Library

Enjoy fall colors and a refreshing nature walk around Francis Gregory Library with Capital Nature and Casey Trees tree ambassadors! Get to know your local trees! Join us for an easy walk around Francis Gregory Library and adjoining Fort Davis Park, led by Stella Tarnay, Co-founder and Executive Director of Capital Nature, to enjoy the many colors of Autumn. With peak leaf season here, we’ll look at various tree species and their unique colors and leaf shapes that shine this time of year. Let’s step out and enjoy the fresh air and get to know the local trees at their most beautiful time! This adult program will be accompanied by a dedicated children’s program conducted by Ward 8 Woods in collaboration with library children’s staff. We will meet in the library lobby for a brief program introduction. We will then walk outside in the park area adjoining the library. Please wear comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and a hat if you may get chilly – and enjoy the scenery!

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
