Emma G

Sat, Nov 7 · 9:30 AM FRESHFARM Downtown Silver Spring Market

Come spend your Saturday morning with me at the Silver Spring Farmers Market! 🎶 I’ll be playing live from 10 AM–1 PM with a mix of original Emma G music, familiar favorites, stories, and plenty of good Saturday-morning energy. Grab some local goodies, come say hi, hang out for a song or three, and be part of the music. Free and open to everyone. See you in Silver Spring! ❤️ Emma G is an award-winning singer-songwriter who turns adversity into anthems and uses music to challenge, connect, and empower. Originally from New Zealand and now based in the Washington, DC area, Emma blends soulful pop, acoustic storytelling, and a gritty rock edge to explore identity, resilience, mental health, social justice, love, and what it means to find your voice in a world constantly trying to define it for you. Born with the neurological condition hydrocephalus, Emma underwent 10 brain surgeries by the age of 19. Songwriting became a way to make sense of what she was experiencing, transforming struggles into songs and eventually shaping a much bigger mission: to save the world, one song at a time. That mission has taken Emma from intimate listening rooms to stages across the United States, including the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Hard Rock Cafés around the country, and venues throughout the Washington, DC music scene. She is also a two-time TEDx speaker, #1 Amazon bestselling author, and recipient of a Silver Telly Award for her music video Barbed Wire. Now, Emma is entering a new chapter with music leading toward her forthcoming album, The Advantage of Adversity. Her latest songs explore the identities we're given, the voices we listen to, the adversity that shapes us, and the courage it takes to decide for ourselves who we want to become. Whether she's behind a piano, playing guitar, or fronting a full band, Emma's performances are built around connection. The stories matter just as much as the songs, and audiences aren't simply there to watch. They're invited into…

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
