Beyond the Braid: Challah, Culture, and Identity

5:00 pm: Sips & Sweets 6:30 pm: Talk As part of ANU Museum’s global Challahfest, FOODISH Founder and CEO Merav Oren moderates a conversation on Jewish identity, memory, art, and culture through the lens of challah. Panelists—including Pati Jinich , James Beard Award-winning chef and author of the book Foods of La Frontera, and Alexander “Zoonder” Lachnish , a chef and educator known for modern gastronomy techniques—will explore how a familiar loaf of bread can tell stories about who we are, where we come from and how Jewish culture continues to evolve. The first 100 ticketholders will also get a complimentary cake pop! Sips & Sweets: Before the talk, enjoy some drinks and decorate your own challah lollipop from Baked by Yael .
