Animals, Technology, & Law 2026 Conference

Room 716 20th ST NW. This year’s conference will explore the intersection of animal protection, emerging technologies, and legal innovation. From artificial intelligence and robotics to biotechnology and digital governance, we invite participants to examine how technological change is reshaping legal and ethical frameworks for animals and the environment. This event is eligible for Foundations of Practice credit for upper-level students only. Please arrive at the library entrance and press the buzzer to be let into the building for attendees not affiliated with GW Law. Accessibility & Accommodations GW Law is committed to providing universal access to all events that we host. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs. For disability accommodations (e.g., sign language interpreters, alternative formats), please contact us as soon as possible. Parking Information GW Visitor Parking We highly recommend taking public transportation (e.g. metro and bus) to travel to and from the Foggy Bottom campus. However, if you prefer driving, University-owned parking is available at the following locations. Locations and rates are viewable on the GW Business Services website. Rates reset daily at 2am local time. Area Parking Other parking options are available in the area and you can search for them on Google, Colonial Parking, or other parking services. There is very limited street parking. Please be aware of streets with parking restrictions during weekdays and commuting hours. Travel and Nearby Accommodations We will not have a specific conference hotel, but there are numerous hotels and AirBnBs throughout the region. GW has negotiated hotel lodging discounts offering reduced pricing at specific properties that are convenient to the GW Foggy Bottom campus where the law school is located.
