Western Loudoun Recreation Complex Public Meeting

The project team will share information on key topics, including groundwater usage, athletic field lighting, roadway network and the project schedule. The public information meeting will be held Monday, October 19, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at the Loudoun Valley High School cafeteria, 340 N Maple Ave. in Purcellville. Anyone who requires an accommodation for any type of disability or needs language assistance to participate in the meeting may call 571-627-7108 or send an email. Three business days’ notice is requested. Residents may provide comments on the project through the online comment form that is available at loudoun.gov/WesternLoudounRecreation. All comments received from the meeting will be shared with the project team and the Board of Supervisors. For those without access to the internet, comments may be provided by phone at 703-737-8624. Background This project provides funding for the design and construction of a new 96,000-square-foot recreation center and park on a 142-acre site outside the town limits of Purcellville located at 36716 Main St. The site’s primary architectural feature is a recreation center, which will include administrative office space, a gymnasium, kitchen, fitness center, multi-purpose rooms, teen area and an indoor running track. The facility will also include an aquatics center with a 37.5-meter competition pool, leisure pool, spa, spectator seating areas, two wet classrooms, splash play area and associated locker rooms. Additional features on the grounds include sports courts (pickleball, tennis and basketball), and outdoor fitness area. The park will include eight athletic fields – four diamond fields and four rectangular fields.
