Call for Entry: Still Life

Tomorrow Franklin Park Arts Center

(Ages 18+) Step into a quiet, contemplative gallery where everyday objects are transformed into moments of poetry. Artists are invited to enter artworks that explore the silent drama of objects: a bowl of fruit on the edge of ripeness, a single flower in a glass of water, a folded linen cloth catching the light, or a cluster of well-worn books resting on a table. All styles of still life are encouraged, encouraging viewers to slow down, look closely, and rediscover the beauty within ordinary things. **This exhibit is sponsored by the Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center and cash prizes will be awarded. Artwork drop-off: Mon., October 5 & Tues., October 6 9:00am–5:00pm Artwork pick-up: Mon., November 2 9:00am-5:00pm CLICK HERE FOR ONLINE ENTRY FORM Entry Fee $20/artist for up to 3 pieces of artwork, payable at drop-off. Cash & checks payable to FOFPAC accepted.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
