Ten years ago, Hallie Wells Middle School opened its doors. To celebrate a decade of Mustang pride and raise funds for educational programs, we’re bringing everyone together for a morning of fitness, community, and fun! The Details * The Route: Start and finish at Hallie Wells MS, traversing through Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park where you'll pass the historic National Mall carousel—a local landmark that our namesake, Hallie Wells, personally championed for Clarksburg. * The Cause: All proceeds will fund vital educational resources and our massive end-of-year 10th-anniversary celebration! * Who: Mustangs of all ages, families, neighbors, and all fitness levels are welcome! * Awards: ** Overall Winners: Top 3 Male and Female Finishers ** Student Age Groups: Top 3 Male and Female Finishers in Each Group *** Future Mustangs: Age 10 and under *** The Middle Schoolers: Ages 11 to 14 *** High School/Alumni: Ages 15 to 18 ** Adult Age Groups: Top 3 Male and Female Finishers in Each Group *** Ages 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60+ Time Event Details 7:00 AM Volunteer & Staff Arrival Course setup, water station prep, and registration table check-in. 7:30 AM On-Site Registration & Packet Pickup Opens Runners grab their bibs and T-shirts. Day-of registration is open to latecomers! 8:00 AM Registration & Packet Pickup Closes Strict Cutoff! No more registrations or bib pickups so timing systems can sync. 8:10 AM Opening Remarks & Announcements Welcome from the Principal, anniversary shout-outs, and quick safety brief. 8:20 AM Pre-Race Mustang Warm-Ups High-energy stretching and warm-up. 8:25 AM National Anthem & Line-Up Runners head to the starting line. Elite/fast runners in front, walkers/strollers in back. 8:30 AM RACE START! 🏁 The horn blows! Go Mustangs! 8:45 AM First Finishers Expected Prepare the finish line cheer squad. 9:45 AM Awards & Closing Celebration Hand out the speed and age-group awards. 10:15 AM Course Clean-Up & Breakdown Thank your volunteers and celebrate a successful event!
