The Civil War

Wed, Nov 11 City of Fairfax

From 1861 to 1865, Americans fought each other with a ferocity unseen in the country’s history. The immediate cause of the war was the secession of the Southern states. However, the roots lay in growing tensions over slavery. By the time the last shots were fired, as many as 750,000 Americans had been killed, and four million enslaved people were freed.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
