Scena Theatre Presents "Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka

Fri, Oct 30 · 7:30 PM The DC Arts Center · Adams Morgan

"One morning, upon awakening from agitated dreams, Gregor Samsa found himself, in his bed, transformed into a monstrous vermin." Franz Kafka’s iconic masterpiece comes to life on stage in a hauntingly intimate adaptation. Step into the Samsa family apartment and witness the unraveling of a man trapped between his humanity and his grotesque new reality. As his family struggles to cope with the creature in their midst, the line between the monstrous and the human blurs. This is not just a story of transformation, it is a profound, unsettling look at isolation, duty, and the fragility of identity. Adapted by Steven Berkoff and Directed by Robert McNamara

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
