Join us in person for Drafts on Drafts, where ideas flow and creativity takes shape! Drafts on Drafts Get ready for Drafts on Drafts, an inviting, in-person hangout where creativity flows as freely as the drinks! Settle in to your seats with a pint of beer or a glass of wine, and enjoy short stories, poetry and prose from two brilliant, DC based authors. Nathan Blansett and Kate Peruzzi will welcome guests, read a select handful of short stories, and afterwards answer questions with a meet and greet. We look forward to focusing on these intimate events that encourage us to come together, listen to others and learn while enjoying in house made beers and delicious, from scratch food. Nathan Blansett’s poems and criticism recently appear in Ploughshares, the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Southern Review, The Adroit Journal, and elsewhere. The recipient of fellowships and support from the 92NY, Poetry Society of America, the Stadler Center at Bucknell, Emory, and The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins, he lives in Washington, DC. Kate Peruzzi is a short fiction writer living in Washington, D.C. Originally from Massachusetts, her work has appeared on the podcast Storytime at the Ape’s Nest, as well as in Beyond Words magazine. The event is free to attend. Food and beverages available for purchase a la carte.
