Book Talk with Sundiata Ramin

Tue, Dec 8 · 6:30 PM Woodridge Neighborhood Library

Folks from DC LOVE The Godfather of Go-Go - Chuck Brown and the incredible body of music that he left us to enjoy. The book chronicles Chuck Brown's musical life from the first album, “We the People” to his posthumous album, “Beautiful Life.” It details Brown’s influence on the early DC bands including Rare Essence, E.U., Trouble Funk, and Junk Yard Band. This program is an opportunity to speak directly to Sundiata Ramin, author of this exciting and informative biography.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
