The Peace of Mind Gala

Tue 13 Oct · 6:30 PM 1000 Maine Ave SW · The Wharf

An evening celebrating the educators bringing peace, healing, and belonging to DC-area classrooms. For more than two decades, Peace of Mind has helped educators across the DC area bring mindfulness, brain science, and conflict resolution into classrooms that need it most. Each year we reach roughly 14,000 students in about 85 schools, teaching them to pause, breathe, work through hard feelings, and treat themselves and each other with kindness. This October, we're gathering to celebrate that work and the educators behind it. Join us for an evening on the Wharf waterfront: cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a live program honoring our Distinguished Educator Award recipients, and reflections from the students and educators this work reaches every day. Admission is free. This night is about gathering our community, not a price of admission. If you're moved to give while you're here, your gift trains educators, brings this work into more classrooms, and helps launch our next chapter. Cocktail attire.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
