Lecture: Manga as a Global Form

Join us for a talk on how manga serves as a bridge between cultures, a site of innovation, and a platform for new narratives! Presented by the Japan Information & Culture Center, Embassy of Japan . This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Lectures begin at 6:30 PM and run approximately 45–60 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. No admittance after 7:00 PM or once seating is full. Kofi M. Bazzell‑Smith , artist, educator, and the first professor of Japanese manga practice in the United States, shares an inside look at his upcoming graphic novel Azuki , his work in U.S.–Japan cultural exchange, and the development of manga education in America.
