Voices from the Uprising! The West Bank, Gaza and the War Budget

Tue, Nov 10 · 6:00 PM Busboys and Poets - Brookland

A taxpayer uprising is coming to Washington, DC - and we need you to be apart of it! Join us in person at Busboys and Poets and online as we continue three days of nonviolent action and demand: NO MORE of our Money to Wars and Militarism! End the catastrophic war in Iran—and ALL wars. We want to live in peace. End US complicity in Israeli crimes. No more money for Israel. No integration of the US and Israeli militaries. Stop the $1.5 trillion war budget and instead invest in Medicare For All, affordable housing, green energy and a sustainable future. Join as we hear from Former Democratic Representative Cori Bush, Organizer Imani B, and Rev. Dr. Stephany Rose Spaulding as they discuss with Rania Khalek their trip to the West Bank. Then, hear from other voices from the uprising about what Palestine, Israeli war crimes, and endless wars has to do with US policy and the war budget. RSVP : https://www.codepink.org/dcnov10

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
