The Torah of the Real Housewives

Wed, Dec 2 · 6:30 PM Sixth & I · Chinatown

With 32 franchises internationally and countless spinoffs and recap podcasts devoted to it, the Real Housew ives have struck a chord with millions of viewers since Orange County premiered two decades ago. More than just escapism, the series has some deep lessons about being human that map onto Jewish values—and we have the receipts, proof, timeline, and screenshots to show it. The day after our book talk with Dorinda Medley, dive into the drama of The Real Housewives and explore where the Housewives get it right, where they spectacularly miss the mark, and what Jewish wisdom has to say about it all. Rabbi Jenna will put the most iconic Housewives moments in conversation with Jewish texts, offering lessons from our tradition on friendship, conflict, betrayal, gossip, and forgiveness. In the words of Lisa Rinna: “Own it , baby.”

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
