lighthearted

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.

• Browse I list everything coming up around DC, Virginia and Maryland, all in one place.
• Filters Narrow it by date, area, category or Free. They're in the sidebar on a computer, or behind the Filters button on your phone.
• Saved Heart the events you like, and sign in to see your Saved events.
• Recommended vs All events Flip the switch next to Filters: Recommended puts what fits your taste first, All events is everything by date.
• Your taste Tell me what you like and I'll sharpen my recommendations. You can change it anytime.
• The weekly email A short list in your inbox each week. Just your email to sign up, and you can pause it anytime.
• Alice's Picks My handwritten column of what's actually worth going to, with a spot at the end to sign up for the email.
