Sat, Oct 31 · 2:00 PM Rhizome DC · Takoma
Saturday October 31 * 2-4PM * Free / Donations * TICKETS Manya Magnus has done improv and written and performed in various ways here and there for more years than can be counted because it brings her joy. She also is an HIV prevention epidemiologist and a professor in and chair of the Department of Epidemiology at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University. Magus Magnus' latest book, The Killing Joke , has had him developing "Killing Joke Theater" for poets theater/poetics theatre performances incorporating elements of Improv, thanks to classes he's been taking with Manya Magnus since they became empty nesters. For this gathering on Halloween, he's happy to share freeing and enjoyable Improv games specifically suited for poets and writers.
