Arthur C. Clarke Awards and the Clarke Conversation on Imagination

The Embassy of France is proud to host the Arthur C. Clarke Awards and the Clarke Conversation on Imagination, an event celebrating creativity, innovation, and the power of human imagination to shape the future. Organized by the Arthur C. Clarke Foundation, this prestigious evening brings together visionaries in the sciences, technology, and the arts for a night of discussion and inspiration on the theme “Unleash Imagination. Shape the Future.” Guests will attend a reception, a seated dinner, and an interactive awards program honoring three distinguished figures whose work exemplifies imagination in service to humanity. This year's honorees include the VLOG Brothers (Hank and John Green), science educator Bill Nye, and celebrated science fiction author Connie Willis. Hank Green will accept the award in person. The Clarke Conversation on Imagination offers audiences a rare opportunity to engage directly with the awardees through dialogue, questions, and reflections on how imagination fuels progress across disciplines. This event continues a long tradition of French-American collaboration in science, culture, and ideas, reaffirming the Embassy of France's commitment to supporting innovation and the exchange of knowledge. Tickets for this event are $25. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m., and the awards program at 7:15 p.m. Please allow extra time for security when arriving at La Maison Française.
