Center Stage Presents: The Serpent Queen

Tue, Nov 17 · 6:30 PM William and Mary Washington Center · Mount Vernon Triangle

Cleopatras defeat by Octavian, the future Roman emperor Augustus, marked the end of her reign and a dramatic transfer of power. This lecture examines the possibility that Cleopatras famed suicide, the religious symbolism she embraced in life, and the method of her death were deliberately connected to the myth of Ra, Isis and the first cobra.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
