Science Friction Sci-Fi Book Club

Thu, Nov 19 · 6:30 PM Takoma Park DC Library

Science and speculative fiction began as a genre of experimentation, where authors used the genre as a sandbox to play with imagined realities of what our world could be. Our club reads stories that keep the spark of this imagination and use it to challenge how we think about the world today. All book titles are available through the DC Public Library (DCPL) system’s catalog in a variety of formats. Science Friction will meet every third Thursday of the month to discuss recent publications of science fiction. The book club is at 6:30 pm in the Meeting Room on the lower level of the library.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
