Tomorrow · 3:00 PM The DC Arts Center · Adams Morgan

Hear directly from the artists behind this exhibition on display now in The DC Arts Center's Nano Gallery. A rtist Talk for Double Exposure Hosted by the Curator Audra Lee Featuring Ayanah George Join us for a special Artist Talk featuring the artists behind the exhibition currently on display in the Nano Gallery at The DC Arts Center. Hear directly from Ayanah George as they discuss the ideas, processes, and inspirations behind their exhibition. This engaging conversation, hosted by Curator Audra Lee , offers a unique opportunity to ask questions, connect, and gain deeper insight into the works on display. Double Exposure examines the art of avoidance through the photography of Washington, D.C.–based artist Ayanah George. Working across film and digital photography, George creates intimate portraits that hold beauty, femininity, memory, and emotional complexity in the same frame. Through layered imagery, audio reflections, artist quotations, and floral installation elements, the exhibition explores how beauty can become both a refuge and a way of revealing what often remains unspoken. Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
