The State of Alternative Healing for Veterans with Samantha Juan

Sun, Oct 18 · 5:30 PM 1610 Wisconsin Ave NW · Georgetown

An autumn artist salon with Samantha Juan, residing artist at Book Hill Gallery, speaking on trauma and healing as a veteran. Please join us for our first Artist Salon with Samantha Juan after Fall Market in Georgetown on October 18th. This intimate event will be held after we wrap up our herbal pop-up market. The salon will feature a discussion with the artist around topics of healing through arts, plant medicine, and community. Samantha will discuss her unique experience addressing her complex trauma and what coming back to life through healing means to her. The floor will also open to a broader discussion on the state of veterans' alternative healing options and what lies ahead for addressing such needs. The conversation will be open to all guests and the atmosphere will be casual and relaxed. Refreshments will be served and participants will leave with some sample herbal remedies from the apothecary. Please join us for this lovely event at Book Hill Gallery. We look forward to spending time with you! A portion of all art sales from Samantha Juan's In Bloom art show at Book Hill Gallery goes to Sabot Foundation.

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
