Nashville Emerging Artists Night

Thu, Feb 11 · 7:30 PM The Barns at Wolf Trap

They don’t call Nashville “Music City” for nothing! Aspiring musicians have long flocked to country music’s city of dreams with big ambitions. This popular showcase welcomes Grammy-performing percussionist Jack Dratch along with six of Nashville’s most-anticipated emerging singer/songwriters: Max Boyle, soulful semi-finalist on The Voice; Adam Wendler, prolific “surf country” collaborator; Andrea Vasquez, blending modern country with her Latin roots; rock-country maverick Brody Mckinney; former King Calaway member Chad Michael Jervis; and Jenny Tolman, who’s bringing humor back into country. Sweet yet sassy, vintage yet fresh, an old soul with a new vision and some incredible comedic timing, country music songstress Jenny Tolman is a breath of fresh air. Having woven the incredible story line of her life into her music thus far, Tolman has found a way to create albums which tie up all that life has handed her – both the good, the bad, and the downright tragic – and makes it sound beautiful. Beyond the studio and stage, Tolman shines a spotlight on women’s voices through her annual Cowgirls at The Cowboy Festival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, and last fall, she won over a national audience as a contestant on critically acclaimed CBS and Paramount+'s "The Road", produced by Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan. With two critically-acclaimed albums — "There Goes the Neighborhood" and "Married in a Honky Tonk" – Tolman has earned her place as one of country music’s most original voices. Praised by Billboard as “permeated with in-your-face humor and witty lyrics that have become increasingly rare in country music” and hailed by Rolling Stone Country for blending “humor, candor and a heaping helping of compassion,” she continues to push boundaries as both an artist and a mother, as she continues to share her kaleidoscope of stories with the world. Also on the bill: Max Boyle, Jenny Tolman, Adam Wendler

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
