47th International Saxophone Symposium

The 47th International Saxophone Symposium, hosted by the U.S. Navy Band, features more than 150 performances, masterclasses, and lectures designed for musicians of all ages. The event is open to the public and no tickets are required. First hosted in 1978, the International Saxophone Symposium features world-renowned saxophonists while highlighting the prominence of the saxophone in both classical and jazz literature. The U.S. Navy Concert Band will perform a concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, with featured soloists Nicolas Prost, ~Nois Saxophone Quartet and Senior Chief Musician Jonathan Yanik. The U.S. Navy Band Commodores will perform a concert on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m., with special guest Ben Wendel. For more information, please visit the U.S. Navy Band’s website .
