About the show This is the first full gallery presentation of Lumen the Sim’s Tame Joy figures. They’re hand-painted, 3D-printed, digitally sculpted characters from a larger mythology called Lum3nation, a world that treats 1969 (ARPANET and the moon landing arriving the same year) as its cosmological origin point. The show’s tagline, “Clownloading The Truth,” is the whole thesis: using a clown-coded, internet-native visual language to look at how reality gets processed, simulated, and sold back to us. The exhibition runs Oct 2 to Oct 31. About Lumen the Sim Lumen’s practice draws equally from art history and the vernacular forms of contemporary life: the social media reel, the fan page, the gif, the meme. These aren’t low forms. They’re the folk media of right now, the altars, illuminated manuscripts, and morality plays of the present. The work moves between handmade fabrication, digital animation, sculptural installation, and moving image, and refuses the line between the artisanal and the algorithmic. lum3nation.net @lumen_floss
