Explore a world of treasures and books from countries and cultures across the globe at this unique sale in the U.S. Dept of State Building! The AAFSW Art & BookFair is back and even better in 2026! This October, explore a world of treasures and books from countries and cultures across the globe! For over 65 years, the Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide has hosted the annual Art & BookFair, featuring thousands of books, artwork, jewelry, textiles, and artifacts donated by U.S. diplomats who have lived all over the world. New items added daily! Open to the Public Two Weekends, October 10-11 and 17-18, 2026 Department of State, 320 21st Street NW, Washington D.C. (Metro: Foggy Bottom) VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and checks are accepted. Real ID required for entry. Large bags and strollers will be checked at the door. New This Year A much larger venue, and Faster credit card machines for an improved shopping experience. Don't miss out! The Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide (AAFSW) is a membership-based and accredited 501(c)(3) association within the American Foreign Affairs Community that has evolved to include Foreign Service and Civil Service employees, spouses, partners, members of household and retirees since our establishment in 1960.
