Astropolitics: A Vision for the Future

Wed, Nov 18 · 6:00 PM Intercultural Center · Georgetown

Join us for a screening of Astropolitics, followed by a panel discussion with space policy experts and the film’s director. Astropolitics follows the United States, China, and a growing number of spacefaring nations and private companies as they expand operations from low Earth orbit to the lunar surface and beyond. At its heart, the film explores our shared humanity and the need to break old habits before it’s too late. Through intimate portraits of people facing dire conditions on Earth and those dreaming up solutions in the beyond, the film offers a chance to reset how we view our planet, our universe, and our place in it. Watch the film trailer here . After the screening, Anthony Silberfeld will moderate a conversation with Janice Starzyk , principal at Starzyk.Space LLC, Chase Hamilton , senior visiting scholar at Forethought, and Kari Bingen , director of the Aerospace Security Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). The screening will take place in the ICC Auditorium . We hope to see you there!

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
