Steve Bug is one of electronic music’s most respected DJs, producers, and curators, widely recognized for his lasting influence on the European house and techno scene. Emerging from Germany’s acid-house and techno era, he developed a distinctive sound that blends deep house, acid, and minimal techno, driven by a dedication to groove and musical innovation. Often described as the “gentleman of techno,” Steve has built a reputation for professionalism and consistency, both behind the decks and in the studio, earning support from influential labels including Bedrock, Cocoon, Minus, Defected, and Knee Deep In Sound. As the founder of Poker Flat Recordings, Steve Bug has spent decades championing forward-thinking electronic music and emerging talent. The label celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019 with a series of remixes honoring its influential catalog, while the launch of sublabel Sublease Music expanded its focus toward deeper, club-ready sounds. Alongside his label work, Steve has released six studio albums, including Paradise Sold, a collaboration with Langenberg, and Never Ending Winding Roads in 2020, which explored minimal house, moody techno, and breaks while reflecting on isolation and introspection. Beyond his own productions, Steve continues to evolve as an artist and curator, consistently creating platforms for new talent and fresh sounds. In 2020, he launched PLAY, a podcast series inspired by his Berlin club night at Ipse, featuring guests such as Miss Kittin and Deetron. Through his music, label ventures, and commitment to the underground, Steve Bug remains a defining figure in electronic music, balancing decades of experience with a constant drive to innovate. // Club Level // Steve Bug (Poker Flat, Sublease Music | Berlin) Jandro _________________________________ ⠶⠶⠶⠶⠶ Flash Safe Space Policy ⠶⠶⠶⠶⠶ Flash stands firmly against non-consensual behavior, discrimination, harass…
