SUMMARY:Author Talk: Lotería
LOCATION:Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library\, 901 G St NW\, Washingto
 n\, DC
DESCRIPTION:The Mexican board game of Loter&iacute\;a is a game of chance—
similar to bingo. However\, in Loter&iacute\;a instead of matching up num
bers on a game board\, players match up images. Many of these legends exi
sted long before their European counterparts—passed throughout the Americ
as via word of mouth\, collected just like the tales the Brothers Grimm.\
n\nThis collection features creatures and monsters\, vampires\, werewolve
s and more!\n\nPlease join us as we hear more about these Latin American
fairytales with a horrifying slant! Following the conversation\, attendee
s will have the chance to play Loteria…\n\nhttps://askalice.club/events/e
