Sometimes the classics deserve the spotlight. This Friday, we're heading across the Atlantic to explore three traditional European favorites Sometimes the classics deserve the spotlight. This Friday, we're heading across the Atlantic to explore three traditional European favorites, from a crisp English apple cider and a rich Yorkshire brown ale to a beautifully balanced German pilsner. Two historic breweries, three distinct styles, and plenty to talk about. Join us from 6 PM to 7 PM as we pour, taste, and explore what makes these old-school styles so enduring. What we're tasting Samuel Smith Organic Apple Cider Made by Yorkshire's oldest brewery, this organic English cider is all about clean, natural apple character. Light-bodied and gently sparkling, it offers fresh apple flavors, delicate apple blossom aromas, and a refreshing medium-dry finish. A lovely example of traditional English cider without excessive sweetness. Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale A proper English brown ale brewed in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, using traditional stone Yorkshire Square fermenters. Expect rich, nutty malt flavors reminiscent of toasted walnuts, almonds, and hazelnuts, with a subtle fruitiness and a pleasantly dry finish. Smooth, comforting, and a great reminder of why English brown ales deserve more attention. Pinkus Organic Ur Pils From Münster, Germany, Pinkus has been brewing since 1816 and was a pioneer of modern organic brewing. Its Ur Pils is a traditional German pilsner made with organic barley malt and hops. Pale golden in color, with fresh bready malt, delicate floral and herbal hop notes, and a crisp, dry finish with just the right touch of bitterness. A classic German lager with real character.
