Magical Places and Creatures - Art Exhibit by Donnalynne Lefever

Mon, Oct 19 · 9:00 AM Arches Art Gallery

Dive into a world of enchanting art where mythical creatures and magical places come alive through Donnalynne Lefever’s art Enter into the magical world created by artist Donnalynne Lefever for a month this October in which you will encounter mythical and made up creatures and places that will open your imagination and take you to other places. Reception: October 10 from 6-9pm Many of the places and creatures were either from her mind or inspired by what she saw on her canvases as she was painting. Mythology, mystic worlds, the unknown, dreams, archetypes, etc. all play heavily into how Donnalynne sees the world. Seeing her paintings in person invites you to look closer as there are many layers of paint and often images within images. In the spirit of Halloween, her favorite holiday, come and join her at the reception and you will get a treat. Show dates: October 9 - November 8 2026 Location: Arches Gallery building W9A Lorton Workhouse Arts Center 9518 Workhouse Way Lorton, VA 22079

Welcome to AskAlice

Hi, I'm Alice.

I go out a lot around DC, Virginia and Maryland, and I got tired of losing hours to Instagram Stories and a dozen venue calendars just to find out what was happening. So I built this to do that watching for me — real, confirmed events pulled from hundreds of sources, sorted so you can find your night instead of hunting for it.
